These terms govern your use of Quinvert, operated by Quinvert. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use it. They are short because the service is simple.
A file converter. Most conversions run inside your own browser, on your own device, using code we supply — see the privacy page for what that means for your files. Some formats will later require our servers; those are described separately when they exist.
We may suspend or block access without notice where these are breached. Because browser-side conversions never reach us, this is enforceable in practice only on the server side — which is precisely why the restriction is written down before those conversions exist.
Quinvert is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be available, that any given conversion will succeed, or that the result will suit your purpose. File formats are complicated, and some conversions lose information by their nature — each conversion page says what can be lost in that particular case, and it is worth reading before you rely on a result.
Keep your originals. Do not use Quinvert as your only copy of anything that matters to you.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of Quinvert, including lost or corrupted files, lost profits or lost time. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection law in the country where you live.
Your files remain yours. We claim no rights over anything you convert, and — for browser-side conversions — we never receive it in the first place. The site itself, its text and its design remain ours; the open source libraries it is built from are listed on the open source page under their own licences.
Nothing. There is no paid plan, no account and nothing to buy. Conversions that run in your browser are unlimited; the few that need our server are capped at 100 a day per visitor, because those cost us money to run.
If a paid plan is introduced later, the terms of purchase, renewal and cancellation will be set out in full before any payment is taken, and nothing you can do today will start costing money without you agreeing to it first.
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
